Thompson Pond (formerly known as Northern State Hospital Pond) is located in Sedro-Woolley in the newly established Olmsted Park, under development by the City of Sedro-Woolley. This property was formerly a portion of the Northern State Hospital Complex.
Visitors are asked park near the entrance along Fruitdale Road until parking and other facilities can be built. The park gate is open 365 days per year during the daytime hours and is locked at dusk.
There is ample room along the edge of the pond for bank fishing.
Two-pole fishing is NOT allowed
Special fishing restrictions:
- Juvenile anglers only (under 15 years old).
