Washburn Lake

Located on BLM property two (2) miles northeast of Loomis on Washburn Lake.  There are several camping sites at the trailhead.  A short 1/4 mile hike down to the lake will allow anglers access to the lake with float tubes and small rafts.  Expect quality triploid eastern brook trout in the 12-14 inch range, along with the occasional tiger trout.  Winterkill events have occurred more frequently since vandals destroyed the windmill aerator in 2013.  A timeline of replacement is unknown.

Two-pole fishing is allowed

Shoreline access: Good - Numerous cattails makes shore access difficult
