Additional portion of Marine Area 4 open for
retention of chinook on June 30 salmon opener

Action: The portion of Area 4 between the Bonilla-Tatoosh line and a true north-south line through Sail Rock will be open to the retention of one chinook as part of the two salmon daily limit on June 30, 2006.

Effective dates: June 30, 2006.

Species affected: Chinook salmon.

Location: The portion of Marine Area 4 between the Bonilla-Tatoosh line and a true north-south line through Sail Rock. Sail Rock is located approximately 3 miles east of Neah Bay.

Reasons for action: This will make the daily salmon limit consistent with the regulations established for the July 1-31 season in the same area.

Other information: The portion of Area 4 from the Area 4/5 boundary (Sekiu River) west to Sail Rock is closed to ALL salmon fishing on June 30 and continues closed until August 1. The other salmon regulations listed for Marine Area 4 on page 102 of the 2006/2007 Sport Fishing Rules Pamphlet remain unchanged.
