Black River and tributaries open June 5

Action: Open Black River to trout and other game fish.

Effective dates: June 5, through Sept. 30, 2010.

Species affected: Trout and other game fish.

Location: Black River (Thurston Co.) from the mouth of Black Lake and all tributaries west of I-5, including Waddell Creek, Mima Creek, Dempsey Creek, Beaver Creek, Salmon Creek, and Blooms Ditch.

Reasons for action: Sufficient fishing opportunity exists for trout and other game fish in the Black River and tributaries to open the sections as identified.

Trout: June 5 - Sept. 30: Min. size 14". Daily limit 2. Selective gear rules in effect. Internal combustion motors prohibited.

Other game fish: June 5 - Sept. 30: Statewide min. size/daily limit. Selective gear rules in effect. Internal combustion motors prohibited.
