Bowers Lake (Vance Creek Pond #1) will open for spring break
Action: Open Bowers Lake (Vance Creek Pond #1) to fishing by juveniles (under 15 years of age), seniors (70 years old and over) and anglers with WDFW disability status and who have a designated harvester card only.
Effective dates: Saturday, April 2, through Sunday, April 10, 2016.
Species affected: Trout and other game fish
Location: Bowers Lake (Vance Creek Pond #1), Grays Harbor County
Reasons for action: The opener will allow additional fishing opportunity for juveniles, seniors, and anglers with a disability who have the designated harvester card on their person on Bowers Lake (Vance Creek Pond #1) during Spring Break for local school districts. Bowers Lake is an “Opening Day” lake regulated for juvenile, senior, and anglers with WDFW disability status and who have a designated harvester card only. Bowers Lake will re-open Saturday, April 23, 2016.
Other information: Area open to fishing April 2 through April 10, 2016 is Bowers Lake only. Lake Inez (Vance Creek Pond #2), west of Bowers Lake will remain closed until the regularly scheduled lowland trout opener on Saturday, April 23, 2016.
