Change in daily trout limits for
American and Black Lakes

Action: The daily limit for trout is changed. Only two trout 14 inches or greater may be retained as part of the 5 fish bag limit.

Effective date: March 6 through April 30, 2010.

Species affected: Trout other than kokanee

Location: American Lake (Pierce Co.) Black Lake (Thurston Co.)

Reason for action: These daily catch limit rules are intended to extend
the time that larger trout (including triploid trout) are available ensuring
opportunity for more anglers.

Other information: The trout daily limit will remain at five (5) fish per statewide
general rule; however only two (2) fish over 14 inches may be retained within
the five (5) fish daily limit.
