Chinook retention to reopen October 13 on Columbia River from the Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville

Action: Retention of Chinook salmon will reopen on the mainstem Columbia River from the Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam

Effective date: Oct. 13 through Dec. 31

Species affected: Chinook salmon

Location: Mainstem Columbia River from Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam

Reason for action: The impacts to the ESA-listed Snake River wild fall Chinook allowed for this fishery are expected to be minor and within the total allowable for non-Indian fisheries.

Other Information: The daily limit in the Columbia River is six salmon but no more than two adults.
