Action: Increases the chum portion of the salmon daily limit.

Effective date: Immediately through Nov. 30, 2024.

Salmon rules:

  • Daily limit four salmon, including no more than two wild coho and no more than two chum. Minimum size 12 inches.

Reason for action: Commercial catch indicates chum salmon are returning to Nooksack River at a higher than forecasted rate and the salmon hatchery is expected to meet egg intake goals.
