Coho fishery opens in Marine Area 10

May 30, 2019

Action: Changes the salmon rules for Marine Area 10 to the following: Daily limit 2; release chinook and chum.

Effective date: June 1 through July 24, 2019.

Species affected: Salmon.

Location: Marine Area 10.

Reason for action: The reason for this emergency rule is to meet conservation objectives and because the current 2018 sport fishing pamphlet and permanent rule is inconsistent with the agreed 2019 North of Falcon fishery sharing package.

Additional information: Hatchery chinook retention is scheduled to open July 25 through August 31, 2019, or until the quota is achieved.

Information contact: David Stormer, Puget Sound recreational salmon manager, (360) 902-0058.
