Columbia Park Pond closed to fishing
prior to Fishing Kids youth fishing clinic

Action: Columbia Park Pond will be closed to fishing for two days to protect catchable trout stocked specifically for the Fishing Kids fishing clinic that begins at 8:00 am, Saturday, May 7

Effective dates: 12:01 a.m. May 5 through Saturday, May 7, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. Pond closed
Except open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. May 7, 2005 to participants
in the Fishing Kids Fishing Clinic

Species affected: All species

Location: Columbia Park Pond located in Columbia Park near the Kennewick end of the Highway 395 (Blue) bridge

Reason for action: Eliminate premature harvest of catchable trout dedicated to the Fishing Kids event.

Other information: Several thousand fish will be stocked into the pond prior to the event. On May 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. only pre-registered kids will be allowed
to fish. At 4:00 p.m. the pond reopens under its normal regulations.
