Columbia River sockeye sport fishing to close
from Bonneville Dam to the Tri-Cities

Action: Closes mainstem Columbia River from Bonneville Dam upstream to the Highway 395 Bridge in Pasco to retention of sockeye.

Species affected: Sockeye.

Location: The mainstem Columbia River from Bonneville Dam upstream to the Highway 395 Bridge in Pasco.

Effective date: July 18 through July 31, 2011.

Daily bag limit: Daily salmonid limit is 6 fish (hatchery chinook or hatchery steelhead), of which no more than two may be adult chinook or steelhead or one of each.

Reason for action: The sockeye allocation has been achieved.
