Cowlitz River coho limit increases

Action: Increase adult coho daily limit from two adults to four adults.

Effective dates: Oct. 20 through Dec. 31, 2006

Species affected: Adult coho salmon

Location: Cowlitz River from boundary markers at mouth to Mayfield Dam

Reasons for action: Hatchery escapement is expected to be met and surplus coho are
available for harvest.

Other information: The salmon daily limit through December 31 will be as follows: Six fish but no more than four adults, except only two adult Chinook. Wild coho and chum must be released and all Chinook must be released from Blue Creek to Mill Creek.
