Drano Lake Wednesday closure extended
through mid-June


Action: Close sport fishing on Wednesdays through June 14.

Effective dates: June 7 and June 14, 2006.

Species affected: All species including hatchery Chinook and hatchery steelhead.

Location: Drano Lake downstream of markers on point of land downstream and across from Little White Salmon National Fish Hatchery and upstream of the Highway 14 Bridge.

Reasons for action: Yakama Nation plans to continue ceremonial and subsistence fisheries On Wednesdays.


Other information: Under permanent regulations Drano Lake is already closed to fishing on Wednesdays through May 31, which is now extended through June 14. All other regulations listed for this area in the 2006/2007 sport fishing rules pamphlet remain in effect.
