Drayton West sport clam and oyster season to open year-round

Action: The sport clam and oyster season at Drayton West (Whatcom County) will be open year-round, beginning Dec. 1, 2016.

Effective Dates: Dec. 1, 2016, until further notice.

Species affected: All clams and oysters.

Location: Drayton West

Reason for action: Surveys by the Department of Health indicate the water quality at Drayton West is sufficient to allow a year-round opening and eliminate seasonal closures.
