Fishing to close on a section of the Stillaguamish River

Action: Close the mainstem of the Stillaguamish River from Marine Drive (south of Stanwood) to the forks to all fishing, including catch and release fishing.

Effective date: June 1 through June 30, 2018.

Species affected: All fish species.

Location: The mainstem of the Stillaguamish River from Marine Drive (south of Stanwood) to the forks.

Reason for action: Concerns over impacts to critically low chinook.

Additional information: This section of the river will also be closed to all fishing (in permanent WAC regulations) July 1 through July 31.
