Four areas of Puget Sound reopen Nov. 15
for late-season crab fishing


Action: Reopens recreational crab fishing in Marine Areas 6, 9, 10 and 12.

Species affected: Dungeness and red rock crab.

Effective dates: 8:00 a.m. Nov. 15, 2010 through 5:00 p.m. Jan. 2, 2011, 7 days per week.

Location: Marine Areas 6, 9, 10, and 12.

Other information: Marine Areas 4, 5, and 13 are already open through Jan. 2, 2011. Marine Areas 7, 8-1, 8-2, and 11 will not open for winter harvest.

Reason for action: Reopens the recreational crab fisheries because there are available harvest shares remaining in the above Marine Areas.
