Germany Creek opens for retention of
hatchery steelhead

Action: Open Germany Creek to hatchery steelhead retention

Effective Dates: March 24 through April 30, 2012

Species affected: Hatchery steelhead

Location: From the mouth to end of Germany Creek Rd. (approximately 5 miles).

Reason for action: Hatchery steelhead are available for harvest.

Other information: Catch and release except up to two hatchery steelhead may be retained. Selective gear rules are in effect. Hatchery steelhead from Abernathy Salmon Hatchery (Abernathy Fish Technology Center) are known to stray into adjacent Germany Creek.
