Gilchrist Pond (Whitman County) temporarily closed in
preparation for Fishing Kids youth fishing clinic
Action: Gilchrist Pond will be closed to fishing for four days to protect catchable trout stocked specifically for the "Fishing Kids" fishing clinic, which begins a 9 a.m. Saturday June 12.
Effective date: 8 a.m. Tuesday June 8 until 9 a.m. Saturday June 12, 2004
Species affected: All species
Location: Gilchrist Pond located in Whitman County approximately six miles southwest of Colfax, off of Union Flat Road.
Reason for action: Eliminate premature harvest of catch-able trout dedicated to the "Fishing Kids" event.
