Halibut fishing to close June 12 in Ilwaco

Action: The recreational halibut fishery in Marine Area 1 will close June 12 at 11:59 p.m.


Effective dates: June 12, 2005


Species affected: Pacific halibut

Location: Marine Area 1, north of Cape Falcon, west of the Buoy 10 line at the Columbia River mouth and north to Leadbetter Point.

Reasons for action: The catch quota for Pacific halibut in this area is projected to be taken by the end of the day Sunday, June 12, 2005.
