Halibut fishing in marine areas 3 and 4 will re-open on June 19 for one more day of halibut fishing

Action: Open the recreational halibut fishery in Marine Areas 3 and 4 (Neah Bay and La Push) to recreational halibut fishing. There is sufficient quota to open the fishery for one day.

Effective date: Saturday June 19, 2010.

Species affected: Pacific halibut

Location: Marine Areas 3 and 4.

Reason for action: There is sufficient halibut quota remaining in Marine Areas 3 and 4 to re-open the recreational halibut fishery for one day. This rule conforms to federal action taken by the Pacific Fisheries Management Council. Anglers are encouraged to check the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife website or hotline for information regarding re-openings.
