Halibut fishing will close
after Friday June 25 in Marine Area 1

Action: Close the recreational halibut fishery in Marine Area 1 (Ilwaco) to recreational halibut fishing after Friday June 25.

Effective date: 12:01 a.m. Sat. June 26, 2010.

Species affected: Pacific halibut

Location: Marine Area 1 (Ilwaco).

Reason for action: The halibut quota is expected to be met in Marine Area 1 after
June 25, 2010. Anglers are encouraged to check the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife website or hotline for information regarding re-openings.
