Hatchery coho limit increased
on Washougal River


Action: Increase daily limit to 3 adult hatchery coho on the Washougal River.

Effective dates: Nov. 24 through Dec. 31, 2006.

Species affected: Hatchery coho salmon.

Location: Washougal River from mouth to bridge at Salmon Falls.

Reasons for action: The return of hatchery coho is strong and hatchery escapement goals will be met.

Other information: Minimum size 12". Salmon daily limit is 6 fish but no more than 3 adults except only 2 adult chinook. All chinook must be released from the Little Washougal upstream. Wild coho and all chum must also be released.
