Long’s Pond closed to fishing prior to Kids’ Fish-In event
Action: Long's Pond will be closed to fishing for one day prior to the Lacey Family Fish-In (Kids Fish-In) youth fishing event, and to everyone but youth 14 years and younger on the day of the event, which begins at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, April 17.
Effective dates: 12:01 a.m., Friday, April 16 to 8 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010
Species affected: All species
Location: Long's Pond is located at Woodland Creek Community Park, 6729 Pacific Avenue SE, in Lacey.
Reason for action: Allow staff to set nets and stock fish for April 17 activities and ensure a successful Family Fish-In event.
Other information: Long's Pond is open for fishing only to juvenile anglers, 14 years of age or younger, on April 17. Pre-registration is required for participation in the April 17 Family Fish-In.
