Action: Opens coastal salmon fisheries
Effective date: June 21-Sept. 30, 2025

Location: Marine Area 1 (Ilwaco)
- June 21-24: Closed. Possession of salmon onboard a vessel (including in transit) is prohibited.
- June 25-Sept. 30: Daily limit two including no more than one Chinook. Chinook minimum size 22 inches. Coho minimum size 16 inches. Other salmon species no minimum size. Release wild coho.
Additional information: The catch quotas for recreational fisheries North of Cape Falcon in 2025 are 53,750 Chinook and 99,720 hatchery coho, with an Area 1 Chinook guideline of 16,600 and hatchery coho quota of 49,860.
Columbia River Control Zone is closed to fishing for salmon, except open to fishing from the north jetty when adjacent waters north of the Control Zone are open to fishing for salmon or the Buoy 10 fishery is open to fishing for salmon.
Marine Area 1 is scheduled to close Sept. 30, Marine Areas 2 through 4 are scheduled to close Sept. 15, areas may close earlier if quotas are met.
