Marine Areas 2, 3 and Areas 4 east of the Bonilla-Tatoosh Line open to salmon fishing seven days a week.


Action: Catch Record Card Area 4 closes to salmon fishing in the waters west of the Bonilla-Tatoosh line. Ocean fisheries in Areas 2, 3 and 4 will be open 7 days a week.

Effective dates: 12:01 a.m. August 26, 2008.

Species affected: Chinook, coho and pink salmon.

Location: Catch Record Card Area 4 from The Sekiu River to Cape Alava.

Catch Record Card Area 3 from Cape Alava to the Queets River.

Catch Record Card Area 2 from the Queets River to Leadbetter Point.

Reasons for action: The salmon quota for Catch Record Card Area 4 has been taken. The state waters fishery in Area 4 east of the Bonilla-Tatoosh line will open immediately. Enough quota remains in Areas 2, 3 and 4 east of the Bonilla -Tatoosh line to allow fishing 7 days a week


Other Information: Catch Record Card Areas 2, 3, 4 (east of the Bonilla-Tatoosh line), and Buoy 10 will remain open.
