Morning razor clam dig approved on coastal beaches

Action: Two razor clam beaches open to razor clam digging on morning tides.

Effective dates: May 5 through May 7, 2004 - 12:01 a.m. through 11:59 a.m. each day

Species affected: Razor clams

Locations: Twin Harbors - Cape Shoalwater to the Grays Harbor South Jetty, including North Cove, Grayland and Westport;

Kalaloch - Olympic National Park South Beach Campground to Brown's Point (just south of Olympic National Park Beach Trail No. 3)

Reason for action: Department of Health marine toxin test confirmed the clams at these beaches are safe to eat.
