Open recreational fishing for Halibut in
Puget Sound Marine Areas 6-11 and 13



Action: Open recreational fishing for halibut in Puget Sound.

Effective date: open 12:01 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2007 through 11:59 p.m. June 16, 2007; 5 days per week, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Species affected: Pacific Halibut

Location: Marine Areas 6-11 and 13 (Area 12 remains closed).

Reason for action: This rule conforms to federal action taken by the Pacific Fisheries Management Council. The Puget Sound recreational halibut quota is sufficient to cover these dates.

Other Information: Daily bag limit of 1 halibut per angler, with no minimum size limit. All catch must be recorded on WDFW catch record card.
