sport shrimp season closure

Action: The Port Angeles Shrimp District will close to the harvest of all shrimp species at 3 p.m. on May 28th, 2005.

Effective dates: 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2005

Species affected: All shrimp

Location: All waters of The Port Angeles Shrimp District

Reason for action: The state recreational share of Spot shrimp will have been taken.

Other information: All waters of Marine Area 6, outside of the Port Angeles Shrimp District, will be open on a daily basis to the harvest of all species of shrimp.

The public is reminded that on June 1, for those areas where spot shrimp is still
open, shrimp heads may be removed but all heads must be retained in the field
and spot shrimp must be measured.
