Portion of Marine Area 4 to re-open to
salmon fishing


Action: Opens waters of Makah Bay east of the 124 degrees, 41 minutes line, which is approximately from Waatch Point to Anderson Point.

Effective Dates: Immediately

Species affected: Salmon

Location: Marine Area 4, waters of Makah Bay east of the 124 degrees, 41 minutes line which is approximately from Waatch Point to Anderson Point.

Reason for action: The Makah National Fish Hatchery is now expected to make egg-take goals for Chinook.

Other Information: Marine areas 1, 2, 3 and 4 are open seven days a week. The daily limit is 2 salmon, except release wild coho in all areas, release chum in Area 4, and release Chinook in Area 4 east of the Bonilla-Tatoosh Line.
