Quilcene/Dabob Bay salmon fishery to close Oct. 2

Action: Closes the Quilcene/Dabob Bay salmon fishery.

Effective Dates: Oct. 2 through Oct. 15, 2010.

Species affected: Salmon

Location: That portion of Marine Area 12 north of a line true east from Point Whitney to the Toandos Peninsula.

Reason for action: The coho run is low and the hatchery has not collected enough fish to meet egg-take goals.

Other Information: The fishery will re-open if egg-take needs are met. This area will re-open under Area 12 regulations beginning Oct. 16, 2010.
