Action: Open razor clam season
Effective dates: April 19 through April 22, 2007
Species affected: Razor clams
Location: The following beaches will be open between midnight and noon:
· Thursday, April 19 - Twin Harbors
· Friday, April 20 - Twin Harbors and Long Beach
· Saturday, April 21 - Twin Harbors, Long Beach. Copalis, Mocrocks and Kalaloch
· Sunday, April 22 - Twin Harbors, Long Beach, Copalis and Mocrocks
Reasons for action: Marine toxins tests found that clams on these beaches are safe to eat.
Other information: Diggers must carry a valid 2006-07 fishing license to participate in the upcoming opening. Harvesters may take no more than 15 razor clams and must keep the first 15 taken, regardless of size or condition. Each diggers limit must be kept in a separate container.
