Action: Opens Razor clam season

Effective date: 12:01 a.m. April 19 through 11:59 a.m. April 22, 2018

Species affected: Razor clams

The specific low tides for this opener:

April 19, Thursday, 9:46 a.m.; -0.9 feet; Mocrocks

April 20, Friday, 10:37 a.m.; -0.7 feet; Mocrocks

April 21, Saturday, 11:34 a.m.; -0.4 feet; Copalis, Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Mocrocks (digging hours will be extended to 1 p.m.)

April 22, Sunday, 12:38 p.m.; -0.1 feet; Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Mocrocks (digging hours will be extended to 2 p.m.)

Locations:

Copalis Beach, which extends from the Grays Harbor north jetty to the Copalis River,and includes Ocean Shores, Oyhut, Ocean City and Copalis areas.
Long Beach, which extends from the Columbia River to Leadbetter Point.

Mocrocks Beach, located between the Copalis River and the southern boundary of the Quinault Indian Reservation (just south of the Moclips River) and includes Iron Springs, Roosevelt Beach, Seabrook, Pacific Beach, and Moclips.

Twin Harbors Beach, which extends from Cape Shoalwater to the south jetty at the mouth of Grays Harbor.

Reason for action: Harvestable numbers of razor clams are available.
