Recreational crab fishing to close Sept. 22
in Marine sub Areas 7 east and 7 north


Action: Recreational crab fishing will close in Marine sub Area 7-East and 7-North. This closure will include all crab and all harvest methods.

Effective date: The recreational crab fishery will close in the areas listed above at 7 p.m. September 22, 2004.

Species affected: Dungeness and red rock crab.

Location: All waters of Marine sub-Areas 7-East and 7-North.

Reason for action: Based on catch record card surveys, sport harvest will have reached or exceeded the recreational crab harvest allocations in these areas by this date.

Other information: Marine Areas 4, 5, and 13 will remain open until further notice.
