Recreational halibut fishing to open June 4
and 6 in Marine Areas 3 and 4


Action: Open recreational halibut fishing in Marine Areas 3 and 4.

Effective date: Open Thursday June 4, 2009 and Saturday June 6, 2009.

Species affected: Pacific Halibut.

Location: Marine Areas 3 and 4, all waters.

Reason for action: There is sufficient quota to allow the fishery to be open on these days. This rule conforms to federal action taken by Pacific Fisheries Management Council. Anglers are encouraged to check the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's website or hotline for information regarding re-openings.
