Recreational shrimp fishing closing
in Marine Areas 9 and 10

Action: Recreational shrimp fishing will close 3:00 p.m. Wednesday May 7, in all waters of Marine Areas 9 and 10, which include the Edmonds and Seattle area shrimp fishing grounds.

Effective date: Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 3:00 p.m.

Species affected: All shrimp.

Location: Marine Areas 9 and 10.

Reason for action: The recreational spot shrimp quota will be reached in Marine Areas 9 and 10.

Other information: Marine Area 10 (or a portion thereof) may reopen for one day next week if sufficient quota remains after Wednesday. Marine Area 11 is closed.
