Recreational shrimp fishing reopens for one day
in Puget Sound from Edmonds to Oak Harbor

Action: Recreational shrimp fishing will reopen for one weekday, Friday, May 14, 2004, in Marine Areas 8-1,8-2 and 9 (outside of the Port Townsend Shrimp District).

Effective date: Friday, May 14, 2004, from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Species affected: All shrimp species.

Location: Marine Areas 8-1, 8-2 and 9 (outside of the Port Townsend Shirmp District.

Reason for action: Enough recreational spot shrimp quota remains to reopen Marine Areas 8-1, 8-2 and 9 for a single weekday.

Other information: Not enough quota remains for a weekend day to open.
