Remove limits for Bass, Channel Catfish and Walleye in the Columbia River and tributaries contiguous with Oregon
Action: Removes the daily and size limits on Walleye, Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass
Effective dates: March 3 through June 30, 2016.
Species affected: Walleye, channel catfish, largemouth bass and smallmouth bass.
Locations: The Columbia River, from the Oregon/Washington border downstream, and Washington tributaries. The Washington tributaries are:
Abernathy Creek (Cowlitz Co.) mouth to 500 feet downstream from Abernathy Technology Center
Camas Slough, Chinook River (Pacific Co.)
Coal Creek (Cowlitz Co.) mouth to 400 feet below falls
Cowlitz River mouth to Mayfield Dam
Deep River (Wahkiakum Co.) mouth to town bridge
Drano Lake
Elochoman River (Wahkiakum Co.) mouth to Elochoman Hatchery Bridge
Falls Creek (Cowlitz Co.)
Germany Creek (Cowlitz Co.) all tributaries including John and Loper Creeks
Grays River (Wahkiakum Co.) mouth to Hwy. 4 Bridge
Hamilton Creek (Skamania Co.)
Kalama River mouth to Kalama Falls Hatchery
Klickitat River mouth to Fisher Hill Bridge
Lewis River mouth to Merwin Dam
Mill Creek (Cowlitz Co.)
Rock Creek (Klickitat Co.)

Reason for action: This emergency rule will align fishing regulations with Oregon in shared water of the Columbia River. The Oregon rules became effective January 1, 2016 and the permanent rule change in Washington will take effect on July 1, 2016.
