Re-open Stillaguamish River from Marine Drive to the Forks

Action: Open the Stillaguamish River from Marine Drive upstream to the forks.

Effective dates: Sept. 2, 2015, until further notice.

Species affected: All fish species.

Location: The Stillaguamish River from Marine Drive to the forks.

Rules:

Night closure and selective gear rules.

Closed waters from water control structure/barrier dam (downstream of I-5) downstream 200 feet.

Salmon, daily limit 2, release chinook and chum. Gamefish, catch-and-release except up to 2 hatchery steelhead may be retained.

Reason for action: River temperatures have decreased and flows increased.

Additional Information: The Stillaguamish River below Marine Drive remains open as listed in the Fishing Regulation Pamphlet. The North Fork and South Fork of the Stillaguamish River and tributaries including Pilchuck, Squire, and Canyon creeks and Boulder River remain closed as described in an emergency fishing regulation dated July 17, 2015. Temperatures and flow are being monitored and restrictions may lift.
