Salmon fishing opens in Tulalip Terminal Area on May 23

Action: Opens salmon fishing.

Effective dates: May 23 through Sept. 1, 2025.

Species affected: Salmon.

Location: Tulalip Terminal Area waters west of Tulalip Bay and within 2,000 feet of shore from the pilings at Old Bower's Resort to a fishing boundary marker approximately 1.4 miles northwest of Hermosa Point and not including waters east of a line drawn from Mission Point to Hermosa Point.

Salmon rules: Open Fridays through 12 p.m. (noon) Mondays only of each week. Exception, this area is closed the day of June 21, 2025. Chinook minimum size is 22 inches. Other salmon species, no minimum size. Daily limit is two. Release chum and pink. Anglers may fish with two poles with Two-Pole Endorsement.

Reason for action: This emergency rule is necessary to set salmon seasons in Catch Record Card Marine Area 8-2 Tulalip Terminal Area, as agreed to during the 2025-2026 North of Falcon season setting process.
