Salmon Fishing Temporarily Suspended in Tulalip Terminal Fishing Area (Tulalip Bubble)

July 16, 2021

Action: Temporarily closes salmon fishing in the Tulalip Terminal Fishing Area

Effective date: 11:59 pm, Friday July 16th, 2021, until further notice.

Species affected: All Salmon

Location: Tulalip Terminal Fishing Area (Tulalip Bubble)

Reason for action: The Tulalip Terminal Fishing Area (Tulalip Bubble) will temporarily close at 11:59pm Friday, July 16th, 2021, until further notice. WDFW and comanagers have increased broodstock objectives for hatchery programs within the Snohomish Watershed. Actual returns to date to the Bernie Gobin Hatchery are lower than expected, therefore WDFW and comanagers determined that it is necessary to close fisheries in the near terminal area until broodstock requirements have been fulfilled.
