Sport clam and oyster seasons open at North Bay

Action: Opens the sport clam and oyster season at state-owned oyster reserves of North Bay (Case Inlet).

Effective date: May 1 through May 31, 2015.

Species affected: All clams and oysters.

Location: The Oyster Reserves of North Bay are located near the terminus of Case Inlet near Allyn in Mason County.

Reason for action: The Oyster Reserves of North Bay (Case Inlet) are subject to a Settlement Agreement before the State Shoreline Hearings Board (SHB No. 13-022) that limits the clam season on the beach to the months of May and September for 2015 and 2016. The oyster seasons on these beaches coincide with the clam seasons.
