Sport Clam season extended at Point Whitney Tidelands

Action: The sport clam fishing season at Point Whitney Tidelands is opened March 1, 2005 through April 15, 2005.

Effective date: March 1, 2005 through April 15, 2005.

Species affected: All clams, except razor clams.

Location: Point Whitney Tidelands, located in Jefferson County on the east side of Hood Canal near Brinnon.

Reason for action: Recent surveys indicate an increased clam population that will allow the clam season to be extended by two weeks.
