Sport clam season extended at West Dewatto

Action: The sport clam fishing season at West Dewatto (DNR 44-A) is extended through May 31, 2006, effective immediately.

Effective date: Effective immediately through May 31, 2006.

Species affected: All clams except razor clams.

Location: West Dewatto (DNR 44-A), located in Mason County on the east side of Hood Canal.

Reason for action: Surveys show that the clam population at West Dewatto (DNR 44-A) has increased, and can support a longer sport clam season.
