Action: Open recreational fishing for halibut in Marine Area 1, three days per week, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until the remaining quota is reached, or September 30, 2007 whichever comes first. It is unlawful to retain bottomfish, except sablefish and Pacific cod, when halibut is on board.
Effective date: Aug. 3, 2007, open 12:01 a.m. of each Friday through 11:59 p.m. of each Sunday until further notice.
Species affected: Pacific Halibut

Reason for action: This rule conforms to federal action taken by Pacific Fisheries Management Council. Specific quota was set aside for this fishing opportunity.
