on the Upper Columbia mainstem



Actions: Close the Columbia River from Rocky Reach Dam to Chief Joseph Dam to fishing for steelhead.

Effective dates: Closes one hour after sunset on Friday, March 16, 2007

Species affected: Steelhead

Location: Columbia River from Rocky Reach Dam upstream to Chief Joseph Dam

Reason for action: The cumulative wild steelhead incidental hooking mortality allowed under WDFW?s NOAA ESA permit, which allows this fishery, is anticipated to be reached by this date.
