Tulalip Terminal Area opening to salmon fishing

Action: Opens salmon fishing in Tulalip Terminal Area Fishery.

Effective date: May 28 through Sept. 6, 2021.

Species affected: Salmon.

Location: Tulalip Terminal Area - waters west of Tulalip Bay and within 2,000 feet of shore from the pilings at Old Bower's Resort to a fishing boundary marker approximately 1.4 miles northwest of Hermosa Point and not including waters east of a line drawn from Mission Point to Hermosa Point.

Rule: Open to salmon fishing between 12 a.m. Friday morning to 11:59 a.m. Monday morning each week; closed from 12 p.m. Monday through 11:59 p.m. Thursday each week. Exception: this area is closed the day of June 5, 2021.

Two fish daily limit. Chinook min. size 22". Other salmon species, no min. size. Two-pole endorsement allowed.

Reason for action: This fishery was agreed upon with co-managers in the 2021 North of Falcon season-setting process.

Additional Information: Fishery will be closed on June 5, 2021 for tribal ceremonial fishing.
