Tulalip Terminal Area opens to salmon fishing May 24

Action: Opens salmon fishing in Tulalip Terminal Area Fishery.

Effective date: May 24 through Sept. 2, 2024.

Species affected: Salmon.

Location: Tulalip Terminal Area are waters west of Tulalip Bay and within 2,000 feet of shore from the pilings at Old Bower's Resort to a fishing boundary marker approximately 1.4 miles northwest of Hermosa Point and not including waters east of a line drawn from Mission Point to Hermosa Point.

Rules: Open to salmon fishing between 12:01 a.m. Friday morning through 11:59 a.m. Monday morning each week; closed from 12:00 p.m. Monday through 12:00 p.m. Thursday each week. Exception is this area is closed the day of June 1, 2024. Chinook minimum size is 22 inches. Other salmon species have no minimum size. Daily limit is two (2). Two-pole fishing allowed with a Two-Pole Endorsement.

Reason for action: This fishery was agreed upon with co-managers in the 2024-2025 North of Falcon season setting process.

Additional Information: Fishery will be closed on June 1, 2024, for tribal ceremonial fishing.
