Vance Creek Pond #1 provides fishing opportunity to
juveniles, seniors and holders of a disability license


Action: Open Vance Creek Pond #1 to fishing by juveniles, seniors (over 70 years old) and persons with Department of Fish and Wildlife disability licenses only.

Effective dates: March 29, 2008 through April 6, 2008.

Species affected: All game fish

Location: Vance Creek (Elma) Pond #1, Grays Harbor County.

Reasons for action: The nine-day opener will allow additional fishing opportunity for juveniles, seniors, and holders of a Department of Fish and Wildlife disability license during local school districts spring break. Vance Creek Pond # 1 is an (Opening Day) lake with juvenile, senior, and disabled regulations, and will re-open April 26, 2008.

Other information: Area open to fishing March 29 through April 6 in Pond #1 only. Vance Creek Pond #2, west of Pond 1 will remain closed until the regularly scheduled lowland trout opener on the last Saturday in April.
