West Evans Pond (Asotin County) temporarily closed
to fishing to protect fish for a kids fishing derby

Action: West Evans Pond will be closed to fishing for one day to protect catchable trout stocked specifically for the kids fishing derby, which is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday, June 12.

Effective date: 8 a.m. Friday June 11 until 8 a.m. Saturday June 12, 2004

Species affected: All species

Location: West Evans Pond located in Asotin County approximately 2 miles west of Clarkston, on Highway 12.

Reason for action: Eliminate premature harvest of catchable trout dedicated to the kids fishing derby.
