SPOKANE – The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) public water access site at Roses Lake in Chelan County will be under construction next week to complete improvements to the site. While the boat launch will remain open until further notice, the parking area will be partially closed due to construction activity.

Grant money from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office will fund improvements to the access that include replacing ecology blocks with barrier blocks, replacing the old toilet with a new one, and cutting in trail to provide more shoreline fishing opportunities.

WDFW is the state agency tasked with preserving, protecting and perpetuating fish, wildlife and ecosystems, while providing sustainable fishing, hunting and other outdoor recreation opportunities.
